Tetragram is an Untimed Verbal Test, designed by Gabriel Garofalo. It consists of 36 analogies, set in order of increasing difficulty, relying on convergent and divergent verbal processing as well as pattern recognition ability; although knowledge is required in some cases, it can be easily obtained through searching the web (which is allowed).
Further information regarding the test:
- Explanations are needed only when explicitly specified and the solutions, one word each, must fit in the blanks (three characters for item1, six for item2 and so on).
- There is no penalty for guessing even if most items have only one correct answer; however, some of them may have more than one acceptable solution (typically two).
- All items carry the same weight towards the calculation of the final score.
- To ensure a fair and more efficient allocation of time and energy for all participants, items are strictly ordered from the easiest to the hardest. The final ordering is the result of various iterations of beta testing. However, subjective heterogeneity may still imply a different perception of difficulty for different individuals.
- Last but definitely not least, discussion of items with other people is strictly prohibited. Please work alone and take all the time you need to reach your full potential.
Two attempts are normally allowed and accepted by several High IQ Societies An unofficial third attempt can be considered (nevertheless it will not be taken into account by any High IQ Society). For further information please refer to the Test Page.
You will receive your score within 72 hours maximum (rarely delayed in exceptional instances), with a customized Certificate attached. The Certificate is free of charge.
A small fee of 25€ is required to submit the test.
